Josh’s Story
Joshua Michael Behan was born in Tucson, AZ on October 22, 1987 and died on July 2, 2022 at Memorial Hospital in Colorado Springs after battling a terrible infection and sepsis that was more than his body could handle.
Josh, known as “Shep” by many friends, was always ready to help anyone who needed a champion. He was passionate about helping teens who struggled with psychological disorders as well as helping teachers and parents understand the frame of mind of teens in their care that struggled with self-harm. Both as a volunteer and in his work, his ability to connect with people was a hallmark of the empathy, warmth and joy he brought to friends and strangers alike.
Perhaps he will land upon That Shore, not in full sail, but rather, a bit of broken wreckage for Him to gather.
Perhaps He walks Those Shores seeking such, who have believed a little, suffered much and so, been washed Ashore.
Perhaps of all the souls redeemed they most adore.
